Northern InSights arranges side-event on tourism

News   •   Dec 11, 2015 12:49 CET

The research project Northern InSights (Opplevelser i nord) has become a major national and international player in the building of a strong and competitive academic environment that works in productive collaboration with the tourism industry, offering valuable knowledge for future value creation. We will communicate some of the major findings in the project at an Arctic Frontiers side-event: Research for tourism industry in the High North at Clarion Hotel the Edge, Room: Margarinfabrikken

Time: Tuesday January 26, 10.00 - 13.00

In close collaboration with tourism enterprises, we have come far in developing a better understanding of what innovation in the tourism industry entails and how it leads to new and improved services while also increasing value creation. At this Arctic Frontiers side-event, we will offer some insights in how research can improve value creation in tourism, for both businesses and visitors.

Northern InSights is run by a consortium of six institutions: The University of Nordland Business School, UiT The Artic University of Norway, Harstad University College (now a part of UiT), Nordland Research Institute, NORUT and NIBIO (The Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research). The contact person for this event from the project is Tove Dahl at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

Register for this side-event in the Arctic Frontiers registration system at www.arcticfrontiers.com.
