Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment, Vidar Helgesen, to speak at Arctic Frontiers Policy

Vidar Helgesen was appointed Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment in December 2015, having served as Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Erna Solberg from 2013 to 2015.

He has previously served as Secretary-General of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (2005 - 2013). From 1998 to 2001 he was Special advisor for the International Red Cross in Geneva, and from 2001-2005 he was the State Secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he, among other things, worked with Erik Solheim on the peace process in Sri Lanka.
