"Russia, our neighbor in the Arctic" - Arctic Frontiers Side Event
In this event, leading international researchers on Russia will address the main aspects of Russia’s political situation and foreign policy with special emphasis on the Arctic. There will be a panel discussion on Russia’s foreign policy, and the bilateral relations with Norway in the High North.
Russia is our neighbor in the High North and an important partner in the Arctic. How is Russia’s relationship to the other Arctic countries developing? What can be said about Russia-China relations in the Arctic? What can be learned from Norway’s experience? What are the main priorities of Russia’s Arctic strategy? We look back on 20 years of successful and peaceful cooperation in the Arctic – what is to be expected in the next 20 years?
