During 5 days in January more than 1400 scientists, politicians, journalists and industry people meet to discuss development and research in the Arctic. To continue making this major event a grand success we need a devoted team of volunteers.
Our team of volunteers supports the secretariat, presenters and the participants in general and are responsible for collecting, testing and loading presentations in all sessions during the conference. This is a great opportunity to meet high profile scientists, politicians and people from NGOs, diplomacy and industry. Our volunteers also have an excellent chance to strengthen their network during the conference.
The main tasks for the volunteers is technical assistance with presentations and audio visual equipment in the auditoriums as well as work in the conference secretariat as needed.
We expect the volunteers to meet according to schedule and to be responsible for the work tasks assigned to them. We also expect the volunteers to be the face of the conference and to welcome and treat all participants in a friendly and polite manner.
Some general information about volunteering:
- All volunteers have free admission to the conference as well as some of the social and evening events.
- Volunteers cover travel costs themselves. Arctic Frontiers will provide accommodation, breakfast and lunch
If you are interested in volunteering at Arctic Frontiers 2016, please fill out the registration form on the website. We are looking for a limited number of people, so we recommend that you register as soon as possible. The selection process is done continuously.
