Goodtech awarded new Portabulk® contract in Australia

Consolidating its position as a preferred provider of fully-automated filling and handling technology, under its Portabulk® brand, Goodtech has once again secured a supply contract with MSP Engineering Pty Ltd, on behalf of the Chinese Tianqi Corporation, a market leader in the global Lithium Hydroxide – LiOH – segment.

Goodtech has been selected to supply it second Portabulk® fully-automated bagging (“FAB”) line to Tianqi’s LiOH plant in the Kwinana Industrial Area. This development will support the rapidly growing demand for rechargeable batteries driven primarily by the electric vehicle and energy storage system industries. The plant is situated near Perth in Western Australia and will be the largest of its kind in the world.

Goodtech has tailored its Portabulk® technology to meet the demands of filling and handling LiOH in specially-designed, 1-loop bulk bags and can rightly be considered as the market leader in this expansive segment.

Goodtech, as an integral part of its scope of supply, will provide conveyance systems and full automation and programming of its FAB units.

Engineering, project management and commissioning are also included in Goodtech’s scope.

The contract sum approximates to NOK 10 mill.

The project will start immediately, and final handover is scheduled in Q4 2019.
