Bergen, 14 February 2017:
Monobank ASA has been informed that Oslo Stock Exchange has accepted Monobank’s application and that the company’s shares will commence trading on Merkur Market on Thursday 16 February 2017.
Monobank opened in November 2015 and has grown rapidly and reached several strategic milestones. The third quarter 2016 was the bank’s first profitable quarter and the loan balance per end of 2016 was NOK 840 million which was ahead of the communicated target.
Monobank’s shares has been trading on the Norwegian OTC market since January 2016 and the shareholder base has during that period grown to around 930 shareholders from around 200 when trading at the OTC commenced.
“Listing on Merkur Market is another strategic milestone in Monobank growth. We have received great investor interest and becoming listed on a regulated market place is a natural and logic step in our development”, says CEO of Monobank, Bent H. Gjendem.
For Monobank 2017 is expected to be another year of continued strong growth in lending. Furthermore, the bank has announced that it plans to commence lending business in Finland during the middle of 2017, and around New Year 2017/2018 Monobank expects to launch its credit card together with the airline Widerøe and SAS EuroBonus.
ABG Sundal Collier and Pareto Securities act as advisers in connection to the listing on Merkur Markets.
The listing ceremony will be streamed live at Thursday February 16 from 08:55 CET. More information will follow on: https://www.facebook.com/monobank.no/
