On the 3rd of February 2018, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) successfully launched a micro-satellite into orbit using the smallest launch vehicle in space exploration history. On board the rocket were a set of hyper-accurate control valves for its positioning system, manufactured by Nammo Ireland.

The BLOODHOUND Project is an international education initiative focussed around a car aimed at setting a 1,000mph (1,609km/h) World Land Speed Record. To achieve this speed, the car relies on rockets provided by Nammo, and today the car is doing its first non-rocket powered public runs at Newquay airport in Cornwall - and you can watch it all live here from 13:30 UK time!
