20 companies had worked hard to get ready for the DNB Healthcare Conference Venture Session that commenced on December 15th at DNB headquarters in Bjørvika. Oslo Medtech had a full crew on deck and the session gave us great presentations of exciting products and services, all aimed at improving healthcare.

The companies were divided into five sessions; medical devices, ultrasound and imaging based medtech companies, assistive technology and digital health solutions, diagnostics, and finally; therapeutics. The companies ranged from new and upcoming to more mature innovation projects. CEO from Oslo Medtech, Kathrine Myhre, moderated the venture session.

The level of all presentations were impressive and one after the other very exciting product/service introduced. Each session had a highly qualified panel that drilled further down after every presentation was over, ensuring that all aspects were highlighted.

Our sponsors were all there and made this possible, so thank you: Link Medical, Qmed Consulting, Dehns, Steenstrup Stordrange, Oslo Cancer Cluster, Radiumhospitalets Forskningsstiftelse, Investinor, Inven2 and Norwegian Smart Care Cluster. Steenstrup Stordrange also awarded a prize of 10 hours of free legal consultation to the company they found most interesting and promising, and the prize went to RemoveAid and Marte Bratli. RemoveAid produces a device that helps remove contraceptive implants with minimum pain and risk.

This year the conference had record high attendance, both from investors and audience. The introduction of the DNB Healthcare Prize was also a factor that increased the attractiveness. DNB did a great job hosting the conference, and the cooperation between us has been very constructive.

Also, we hit records in companies applying for the venture session. To those of you that applied and did not make it through; please apply again next year!

Over all, we are very happy and already look forward to next year's conference. Mark the date: December 15th 2016.
