HAMBURG, Germany – 8 Aug. 2012 – Razer, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware, is adding new attractions to the world’s biggest gaming expo. In tandem with the cult brand’s product launches, the brand will underscore its "Life Is Just A Game" motto with e-Sport and BMX athlete competition. This confluence of gaming and action sports will afford visitors thrill and action at the Razer booth, Hall 9, C40/B41.
Razer BMX Spine Battle
From Aug. 16 to Aug. 19, a world-class BMX competition will take place on a mini spine-ramp inside the GamesCom exhibition hall. In the final battles slated for Sunday afternoon, the 12 best BMX riders from previous rounds will compete for bragging rights and a price purse worth EUR 1,000. Scores will be assigned by the remaining riders, the audience and a jury. The event will be anchored by the well-known BMX evangelist, Zack "Catfish" Yankush. Additional prizing will be provided by Razer.
Razer Gamer Battles
While riders like Daniel Wedemeijer and AJ Anaya are rocking the spine ramp, Razer will be presenting gaming at its finest on their booth stage. From Thursday to Sunday, fans can play against each other in featured matches and win valuable prizes. The shows will be fueled by famous moderators like fun gamer Athene (AtheneWins), Knochen from the well-known e-Sports show, "Knochen‘s eSport Sofa," and female gaming shoutcaster Soe. Between the battles, show acts guarantee the fun and irreverent atmosphere for which Razer is famous.
