”Take One”, the documentary about the house- and DJ-group Swedish House Mafia premieres today Friday directly on Voddler for all of Scandinavia. The film marks the first collaboration between the music giant EMI and the film service Voddler, who now are in discussions about bringing EMI’s many other music- and concert movies to the Scandinavian film- and music lovers. “Take One” is also the first film in HD quality shown on Voddler.
”Take One” tells the story behind the Swedish music export hit Swedish House Mafia and their way towards global fame and glory. During two years, the DJ-collective’s members Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso were followed by director Christian Larsson and his camera. The film tells the story of their tours, but also of the work behind the album ”Until One” and the international hit ”One”.
- Swedish House Mafia rules today’s dance floors and the world’s largest house festivals. The film show their life and work, and we were looking for a good way to get the film to reach as many music fans in Scandinavia as possible. Voddler was the natural choice, and we are also glad that they can show the movie in HD-quality, says Stefan Blom, president of EMI Music Nordic.
The film also the marks the first collaboration between EMI Music Nordic and Voddler.
- EMI has a treasure of music- and concert movies that we would like to help bring to the Scandinavian consumers. We look forward to a successful launch of “Take One” and then to start making joint plans, says Anders Sjöman, head of communications at Voddler.
”Take One” is the first movie that Voddler shows in HD-quality. Voddler recently upgraded its player to support ”high definition”.
