On the whole commendable performances were achieved hroughout in what was for 3 of the athletes, a debut on the world stage.
* Siv Anja Mienna lost golden point to Costa Rica, female -49.
* Janike Lai lost 4-1 in the quarter finals to Korea, female -53. Korea went on to win the gold.
* Bendik Øyan lost 6-5 to the world ranked no.3 from Tunisia, male -74. Tunisia went on to win bronze.
* Mohammed Elhatri lost 9-4 to Azerbaijan, male -87. Azerbaijan went on to win bronze.
The championships have displayed variations in gameplay styles and approaches from the many
participating nations and the packed stadium has enjoyed some dynamic fights from the players representing different continental federations.
From a Norwegian perspective both performances and results give a good indication that the athletes are developing in to very good Taekwondo players and that the Norwegian approach is on the right path forward.
Norges Kampsportforbund (NKF) er det tiende største særforbundet under Norges idrettsforbund og olympiske og paralympiske komité (NIF). Forbundet er lokalisert på Ullevål stadion i Oslo.
