MeaWallet opens UK office and Innovation Norway selects the company as leading innovator

Oslo, Norway. September 18, 2014. At an event in London last week, hosted by Level39, MeaWallet as one out of nine company’s selected by Innovation Norway as leading innovators, was meeting with industry leaders and mentors to discuss their innovations and business ideas.

At the event MeaWallet announced its participation in Level39, the Europe’s largest technology accelerator space for finance, retail and future cities technology companies, and the opening of its UK office. The office is situated at the 39th floor of the iconic One Canada Square building at Canary Wharf.

Level39 was opened on 18th March 2013 by Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, and has quickly become an important part of Tech City- having hosted over 200 events, including hackathons, skunkworks and demo-days.

MeaWallet believes the time is right for bringing the entire contents of your wallet into your smartphone, not as a multitude of apps, but as one secure mobile wallet. To achieve this MeaWallet delivers services in six verticals, covering most of the content in physical wallets of today. This include services such as payments, loyalty cards, gift cards and coupons, ticketing, ID’s, access cards and receipts.

The short term focus of MeaWallet is to deliver payment services and loyalty cards into the banking and retail sectors, respectively.
