Nammo to organize its IKAROS Sea Safety business under Hansson Pyrotech AB

From 1 January 2018, Nammo will organize all its sea safety activities under Hansson Pyrotech AB, a 100% owned affiliate under Nammo Sweden AB. The company will be tasked with all development, marketing and sales of the IKAROS line of Sea Safety products.

The company name Hansson Pyrotech AB dates back to 1888, and for more than a century it has been associated with high quality maritime safety products, such as flares, rocket signals and line throwers. The IKAROS brand dates back to 1959, when it revolutionized the market for hand fired distress signals, and even today it is one of the leading brands to both commercial and leisure mariners worldwide. All products are globally approved in compliance with the latest SOLAS (Safety of life at sea) and MED (Marine Equipment Directive) requirements, and are represented by distributors, retailers and service stations all over the world.

The planned reorganization will not affect the daily operations of the company, with design and manufacturing capabilities remaining unchanged.
