Numo celebrates GSMA win – 1 million users later

Norwegian company Numo won GSMA Global Award 2009 (formerly Mobile Nordic). One year later the company celebrates 1 million active users of the winning mobile app Numo Finder and the popular Numo SMS Preview.

Mobile World 2010, Barcelona – February 18, 2010. One year after Numo’s win of the GSMA Global Award for Best Mobile Consumer Application or Service, the company announces that it has over one million active users. The figures are for the flagship winning product Numo Finder and the SMS Preview.

“The GSMA Award gave us a real push. One year later we have gained a lot of users, new operator customers, new partners and new funding. We have now started the journey going for global reach and we already see a nice uptake of our products in Asia”, says Trond Ingebretsen, CEO of Numo.

The Numo products available are:

Later this spring the company will launch new products like the Numo Autosync and the Numo Company Phonebook.

“The pilot customers of these new mobile apps are exited and our goal is of course to make them our next GSMA winners”, says Trond Ingebretsen.

In February 2010, Numo received the Nokia Ovi Top App 2009 award, in recognition that the SMS Preview is one of the most downloaded mobile applications last year.
