GAËL CLICHY SIGNS FOR PUMA®

Herzogenaurach, Germany (2^nd October, 2012) – PUMA today announced it has signed a new partnership contract with the French national football player Gaël Clichy. The Manchester City left back defender will move into PUMA’s Speed silo, wearing the current evoSPEED 1FG boots for the first time in Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League™ match against Borussia Dortmund on the 3rd of October. Clichy is another strong addition to PUMA’s global sports marketing portfolio, and will become one of the main assets in the sportlifestyle brand’s football communication.

Gaël Clichy has enjoyed a long and illustrious career, winning the Premier League title for Arsenal and most recently with Manchester City.  His attacking mentality and pace make him the perfect player for the PUMA Speed silo, a boot that has been designed to support the players’ maneuverability and agility to help them perform at their best.  The French International joins Sergio Aguero, Falcao, Yaya Touré, Mario Gomez, Olivier Giroud, Ibrahim Afellay and many other international players to play in PUMA evoSPEED boots.
