LAUNCH: Ergobaby Embrace

Embrace. No description better sums up what makes the new Ergobaby baby carrier that goes by the same name so special. It will be available for the first time in Scandinavia from September 2019. The Embrace combines the softness of a baby wrap with the well-known practical handling and ergonomic comfort of the Ergobaby carriers. Made of soft, cuddly, slightly elastic jersey material (Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified fabric), it snuggles the newborn very close to mum or dad and can be put on and taken off in just a few easy steps. In this way, the new carrier helps parents to give their child safety and security, especially in the first few months of life, which are so indefinitely important in this early phase of development. Specifically developed for newborns, the Embrace, which will initially be available in four different colours, is designed to be exactly that in particular; a faithful companion with which the transition from pregnancy to family life feels as gentle and safe as a tender embrace.

This phase contains much unknown and uncertainty also. Suddenly it is there, the responsibility for this little life that has been entrusted to us and that we should now accompany from the beginning on his journey into the world. ‘Uncertainties and questions seeking advice are perfectly normal. For the parents, the emotional and physical exhaustion of the birth adds to this initial phase. The baby also needs a lot of rest and above all the closeness and body contact of the parents in order to feel connected and form that bond in the first few months of life. Let yourself be embraced – in close contact with the Embrace. Baby wrap or baby carrier? Embrace provides a simple answer to this question, which parents often ask themselves, especially in the first phase of life after birth: both, or to be put in better words, a baby carrier made of soft material that fits every baby and parent or caregiver as if tailor-made. Made of soft jersey material (Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified fabric),the new carrier gently nestles against the small body, follows every movement and is nevertheless constructed in such a way that it holds the newborn baby safe and comfortable in the ergonomic squat spread position. With its comfortable waist belt and cross-over shoulder straps on the back, the soft carrier is wonderfully easy to put on and take off. The head and neckrest on the back panel is extra padded and holds the small head in an optimal position – gently and softly like a real hug. The Embrace’s greatest innovation is its ability to adapt to the size of the growing newborn. By simply turning the waist belt over twice when putting the carrier on, the seat width becomes narrower and the back panel shorter, so that even the smallest babies can be carried ergonomically in the Embrace. If the baby has already significantly grown, after approx. three months, the double flip in of the waist belt is void with putting on of the carrier. In this way, the full seat width and length of the back panel of the carrier is used and the Embrace grows with the baby along her stages of development. Perhaps the most astonishing thing: with everything it can do, the Embrace weighs only an ultra light 480g – with a load capacity of 3.2 to 11.3kg. Of course, at the end of the day everyone has to find out for himself/herself which type of babywearing person – wrap or the carrier – he/she is. But with the introduction of the Ergobaby Embrace baby carrier, the question of ‘wrap or carrier’ will certainly have to be thought through!
