TFIE-6 Turbine Industrial IP Intercom with display

The new TFIE-6 is part of our latest VS-IS 4.7 release. This turbine industrial station is now a standard product, triggered by a need from one of our customers.

Evolution of the TFIE-1

The TFIE-6 was prompted by the needs of an industrial project in India. The customer was interested in an IP based industrial station with full keypad and display. They had a similar analogue based system but wanted to replace it with a modern IP station. The customer liked the design of the TFIE-1 but the station did not meet all their requirements. The outcome was the development of theTFIE-6, a Turbine intercom with display.

Just like the TFIE-1 the new station is a rugged intercom designed for use in harsh environments. The plastic housing has been designed to withstand most chemical an environmental hazards, both on land and at sea and meets industrial and offshore requirements. Audio features, such as active noise cancellation and acoustic echo reduction, allow for hands-free two-way communication and superior audio-quality. All the features are supported in AlphaCom, Pulse and SIP.

Convenient new features

The new Turbine station brings a lot of convenient features that can improve the bidirectional communication between two parties.

• The TFIE-6 features a full keypad with four programmable buttons, keys for manual override (PTT) and Cancel, plus display with scrolling unit
• The intercom station is fully digital and offers crystal clear audio with high output through a 10 W internal amplifier and 78 mm speaker, offering up to 100dB SPL
• Intercom status indicators display the status of the system and are compatible with AlphaCom and Exigo systems as well as SIP functionality for use with 3rd party systems

See the ID of outgoing and incoming calls

The display makes it possible to select the desired station from the address book or you can just dial the number on the numeric keypad. In both situations the correct number and ID of the far end station from either the server or the far end client will appear on the screen. The same applies for an incoming call, the display will show the ID and the number. When the far end station is busy or disconnected it will also appear on the display. This way you are sure you dialed the correct number and you are informed of who is calling you. In both situations this can save you critical time.
