NOV rolls out over 1000 Teamcenter licenses

National Oilwell Varco rolls-out more than 1000 Teamcenter licenses in Norway.

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) a global company headquartered in Houston, Texas, US with subsidiaries all over the world is currently rolling-out Teamcenter to all their subsidiaries in Norway. Teamcenter is the world’s leading PLM system from Siemens PLM. NOV has been using Teamcenter with great success in the US, Canada, Brazil, China, Korea, Russia, France, Denmark, the Netherlands, the UK, and a few other countries. The time has now come to roll Teamcenter out to their subsidiaries in Norway.

So far more than 500 licenses have been installed in Molde, Asker, Stavanger and the Crane Division in Kristiansand. Another 500+ licenses will according to plan be installed in the Drilling division in Kristiansand before the end of the year (2015).

According to Dr. Ahmet Oncel, Manager Corporate Engineering Technology, NOV is rolling out Teamcenter in Norway to improve their internal processes in order to be more competitive in the market. Dr. Oncel is responsible for the roll-out program in Norway and says the following about NOV and Teamcenter “Teamcenter, as the official PLM system for NOV, has been steadily increasing the process quality and improving the engineering delivery times”.
