Easter at the Nobel Peace Center

The Nobel Peace Center is open every day during the Easter holiday. The museum for the world’s most important prize is situated between the City Hall and Aker Brygge, and offers exciting experiences for the whole family.

This year’s Nobel Peace Prize exhibition is about the laureates Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi and their unstoppable fight for children’s rights. There is a specialactivity trail for children in the exhibition.

The Nobel Field and The Nobel Chamber, which have been closed for a few weeks due to upgrading, will re-open for Easter. We offer guided tours in English every day from Thursday 2 to Monday 6 April. Our café Alfred is open for tasty dishes and refreshments inside and outside.

This year, children visiting the Nobel Peace Center can take part in creating the world’s longest children’s art exhibition at the Miniøya festival. Crayons and drawing paper are available at the café, and the drawings can be handed in at our reception counter.

Opening hours during Easter: Every day 10.00–18.00.

Guided tours: 14.00 (English) and 15.00 (Norwegian) Thursday 2 Apr–Monday 6 Apr.

Ticket prices: Adults 90 NOK, student/senior 60 NOK, family ticket 160 NOK. Children under 16 have free admission.

The Nobel Peace Center presents the Nobel Peace Prize laureates and their work, in addition to telling the story of Alfred Nobel. It is an arena for debate and reflection around topics such as war, peace and conflict resolution. The Nobel Peace Center works where politics and culture intersect, and the Center is internationally recognized for its emphasis on documentary photography and interactive technology. Changing exhibitions, engaging digital solutions, films, seminars and events make for a varied and exciting experience. 
The Nobel Peace Center is an independent foundation, with the Norwegian Nobel Committee appointing the board. Geir Lundestad is the leader of  the board, Bente Erichsen is the Executive Director. The Nobel Peace Center is financed by a combination of public and private funds. Main sponsors and collaborating partners are Hydro, Telenor Group, ABB and The Football Association of Norway (NFF).
