Leading communication technology provider selects op5 for monitoring global IT centres

A world leading information and communication technology provider has selected op5 monitoring solutions to support the strategic initiative of establishing a global innovation hub. In an initiative to support growth and innovation, the global technology provider with a long history of pioneering communication services, is establishing three new global IT centers, each of them located close to one of the company’s major R&D centers in Europe and North America. 

The three nodes will function together as a virtual centre of excellence for research and innovation, giving over 20,000 engineers direct access to the company’s complete service portfolio. To manage the virtual hub, the technology provider has signed a global agreement with server monitoring company op5. 

Under the agreement, op5’s awarded management solution op5 Monitor will be used for monitoring, reporting and performance management across the world. op5 Monitor will play a central role, tying all underlying systems together from a management point of view. Monitoring of the local nodes will be consolidated in a unified view, supporting information exchange, automation and sharing of best practice between the nodes.

The project was kicked-off during fall 2014 and is planned to be fully implemented in the beginning of next year.
