Panalpina is the world’s fourth largest provider of ocean freight services. In 2014, the company expedited over 1.6 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) via ocean freight (+7%). Its Ocean Freight product accounted for 42% of the company’s net forwarding revenue and for 31% of its gross profit. It posted an adjusted EBIT of CHF 13 million in 2014.
