Petro Bio AB builds new boiler room in Turku, Finland

Together with our business partner Renewa Oy, Petro Bio has secured a contract for a new boiler plant to Turku Energia Oy in Turku, Finland. It is in total 40MW and will be fired with wood powder grounded from wood pellets.

Renewa is the main contractor and shall deliver a complete boiler room. It includes everything from pellet reception to the new chimney. The contract also includes all buildings.

Petros part of the supply consists of fuel processing and combustion, ie, hammer mill with filters, dosing silo with dosing systems, necessary fans and blowers, and two pieces of 22MW multifuel wood powder burners. The system is controlled by Petros control system PMS20. Turku will use oil as secondary fuel.

Turku expects to use its new boiler house by next winter. Planned takeover of the plant in December 2015.
