Hans Hassle appointed to the ADC Forum Advisory Council

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, June 17, 2016 –– Mr. Hans Hassle, Secretary-General of Plantagon International Association, previously CEO of Plantagon International AB, has been appointed to the ADC Forum Advisory Council. Hassle is the first Swede to be appointed to the Advisory Council of the ADC Forum.

ADC Forum, previously the Australian Davos Connection, is an Australian, non-political, not-for-profit leadership organization which brings together leaders from business, government, the public sector, academia and the broader community to improve their understanding of key issues affecting Australia.

The Forum was originally founded in 1996 to: promote the World Economic Forum (WEF) within Australia. The Australian Davos Connection became the ADC Forum in 2010. Founder of the ADC Forum is Michael Roux.

ADC Forum has developed an integrated model of high-profile events, industry specific initiatives, information exchange and a leadership awards program. The flagship initiative, the Australian Leadership Retreat, brings together Federal cabinet Ministers from Australia and Asia, State Premiers and Senior Ministers, Chief Executives from the top 100 companies in Australasia, senior government officials, leading international academics and other community leaders to discuss the key issues affecting the nation, the wider region, and the international community.

The annual Future Summit of the ADC Forum provides a collaborative framework for Australia’s established and emerging leaders to share ideas, exchange views and create defined outcomes to improve Australia’s future.

Hans Hassle has been working with social entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and brand management since 1986. He founded the Swedish communication agency Vision and Reality Communication NetWork AB in 1986 and was its CEO for 15 years.

Between 2008 and 2016 Hans Hassle served as the CEO of Plantagon International and since 2016 he is the General Secretary of Plantagon International Association. Plantagon was founded by the Swedish CSR-consultancy firm Swecorp and the indigenous North American nation Onondaga Nation in 2008. Hassle was the first European citizen to ever be appointed CEO and General Secretary of a company owned by a Native American nation, operating outside the United States.

The new business model “The Companization” – developed by Hassle – is a hybrid of a non-profit association and a for-profit company that incorporates moral values into an otherwise economic forum by implementing the Earth Charter and the United Nations Global Compact into the articles of association of the company.

In 2012, Hans Hassle became an official member of the World Entrepreneurship Forum and joined the Forum’s Think Tank as one of 88 members. Hassle was in 2010 and 2011 nominated Sustainable Leader of the Year by the Swedish Association of Environmental Managers.
