2015 Hobey Baker Memorial Award Winner and No. 2 Overall NHL Draft Pick
Chooses Leading Hockey Brand for On-ice Equipment and Apparel
BUFFALO – August 13, 2015 – Bauer Hockey, Inc. today announced that Buffalo Sabre Jack Eichel has joined its roster of athletes, becoming the latest elite player to align with the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of ice hockey equipment. Eichel, the 2015 Hobey Baker Memorial Award winner and second overall NHL draft choice, will exclusively wear BAUER equipment on ice and will work closely with Bauer Hockey’s product development team to provide insight and feedback into future product direction. In addition, BAUER will be Eichel’s exclusive provider of performance and lifestyle apparel.

Last season, Eichel led Boston University to the NCAA championship game and posted 26 goals and 45 assists for 71 points in just 40 games. Eichel led the nation in scoring and earned the Hobey Baker Memorial Award as the top college player in the country, becoming just the second freshman to win the prestigious award since Paul Kariya in 1993. In addition to his success at the NCAA level, the North Chelmsford, Mass. native also competed in the IIHF Men’s World Championship and helped guide the United States to a bronze medal.
