Stockholm, Sweden - Beginning today, American bachelor students and recent college graduates can once again compete for a full-tuition scholarship to study a master’s program at a Swedish university.
For the third year in a row, Swedish universities are using Challenge Your Perspectives as a tool to both increase enrollment of American students and increase Sweden’s profile as a study destination for students looking for graduate education in a country renowned for its innovation and educational system. This year Chalmers University in Gothenburg is offering an American students the chance to study their master’s at the Technology Management and Economics department.
To familiarize participants with Chalmers University and its impressive connections to local and international industry, as part of the competition participants will answer a series of challenging multiple-choice questions testing their knowledge of Chalmers University, Swedish innovation and technology management. Participants will additionally have the chance to distinguish themselves by writing an essay based in technology management where they can demonstrate their knowledge and distinct suitability for the master’s program they are applying to.
Chalmers is no stranger to using competitions as a recruitment and marketing tool. Last year, the university ran Sweden-Brazil 2014 where Brazilian students competed for a full-tuition scholarship and the currently running, Sweden-Colombia Challenge where Colombian students compete for a travel grant to explore Sweden and discover what distinguishes Sweden as the “leading country of innovation.”
Last year’s edition of Challenge Your Perspectives resulted in over 800 students from over 200 American universities signing up for the competition. We look forward to receiving even more submissions this year and welcoming the incoming winner to Sweden in fall 2015!
