DICOTA is to supply Notebook cases to the European Commission and to 51 other European institutions and agencies located within the 27 member states, over a contractual period of 2 years. This corresponds to a total volume of over 50,000 Notebook cases.
The contract was developed as part of the biggest European Commission MEQ III tender so far regarding mobile user devices, which Bechtle, one of the leading European IT system companies, participated in, bringing DICOTA on board as a case manufacturer. Alongside Notebook cases, the contract also includes delivering accessories. The two-year contract can be extended by a maximum of a further two years. The beneficiary institutions include the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg and the European Council in Brussels.
“We are very excited about our joint win with Bechtle. The fact that we were chosen by Bechtle as a partner for the tender is testimony to the strength of our products within the Notebook case sector,” says Michael Mühlenbruch, CSO at DICOTA. “We are especially pleased that DICOTA cases will now accompany numerous EU employees, wherever they are in the world.” Since a management buyout on 1 March 2013, DICOTA has been under German and Swiss management.
