In July, M-Brain Oy acquired 100% of Whitevector Oy’s share capital. M-Brain has grown rapidly in recent years through acquisitions and investment in in-house technology development, including software as a service (SaaS) tools aimed at marketing and communications professionals.
“The Whitevector acquisition is a logical continuation of our growth strategy,” says M-Brain CEO Tuomo Räsänen. “The acquisition complements our customer base especially in the communications and media agency sector, as well as enhances our expertise in the SaaS business and its development.”
Whitevector was founded in 2006 as one of the pioneers of Finnish social media monitoring. Prior to the acquisition the company’s ownership consisted of Finnvera, venture capital company Inventure and a group of private investors. M-Brain has been a minority holder in Whitevector and the two companies have collaborated in the past. Whitevector’s core market is Finland, with accounts and a distributor network spanning the Nordic countries.
