MuchDifferent and Ericsson form partnership to launch voicechat for mobile games

Press Release   •   Feb 21, 2013 11:22 GMT

MuchDifferent has recently acquired Ericsson voicechat technology designed for mobile games. This unique and world leading technology will be integrated in to the UnityPark network suite for Unity3D.

“Ericsson is an internationally recognized voice communications technology company and they have been developing this technology for four years. It is without a doubt world leading technology and currently the only voicechat for games that works on mobile devices. It will integrate beautifully with our current product lines.” said Christian Lönnholm, CEO of MuchDifferent.

UnityPark Suite is MuchDifferent’s own network suite for online games on PC, Mac and mobile devices. Two mobile games have already been released that utilize UnityPark Suite and the Ericsson voicechat: Shadowgun: Deadzone from Madfinger Games and Entropia from Mindark.

“We are providing developers with a complete solution for mobile online game development. And we are providing players with a whole new way of interacting with other players through their mobile devices. This will completely change how we play games online.” said Christian Lönnholm.
