Triabetes™, a fresh approach to diabetes lifestyle decision making, is today available as an iPhone app in Sweden. From medtech company Diabetes Tools, the free Triabetes app works together with a personal online account so people with all diabetes types can conveniently track food, drink, weight and exercise as well as blood glucose and blood pressure readings.
“We introduced Triabetes as an Android smartphone app in April this year. Today, we are expanding to offer an iOS version too,” said Diabetes Tools’ Chief Marketing Officer Ulf Wretling. “Now, people can use Triabetes on their iPhones to take control of their daily diabetes choices while benefiting from the instant motivational feedback our service offers.”
Triabetes takes a lifestyle-focused approach to managing diabetes. It balances the three essential elements of living with all forms of the condition: diet, exercise and medical aspects. According to the Swedish Diabetes Association, there are over 350 000 people in Sweden who have one of the different types of diabetes. Of these people, 85-90% has Type 2 diabetes where lifestyle control is an essential part of treating and improving the condition.
For iPhone 4, 4S and 5
The Triabetes app is available for iPhone 4 (and above) from Apple’s Swedish iTunes App Store. This iOS version complements the Triabetes app for Android™ smartphones which is already available from the Google Play™ app store. The upgrade subscription package called Triabetes+, which was launched for Android smartphones on 8 August 2013, will be accessible to iPhone users later this year.
