OSM Group has, under its joint leadership by Johan Ledel and Phil Mulholland, successfully accomplished significant organizational changes in the past year to respond to new customer and market requirements. As the company is now entering a new phase to boost sales and develop further in certain growth markets, the Board of Directors and management have decided it is also the right time to transfer into a single leadership model. Consequently, Phil Mulholland, previously President of Commercial Operations, is appointed to new CEO of OSM Group.
OSM Group has responded to changed market conditions by introducing a number of changes designed to strengthen its market position and improving its cost structure. Now, as the first phase of this development is to an end, the company sees a strong recovery alongside many interesting opportunities to act upon. Former CEO Johan Ledel, who has successfully led the company through this transformation, will remain in the company during a transition period to follow through with certain strategic initiatives.
“We are now entering a new phase where sales and commercially lead initiatives will grow in importance. Having achieved a healthier balance in operational expenses, it’s now time to turn our heads onto how we can serve our clients better and, of course, concentrating our efforts to markets where we see growth”, says new CEO Phil Mulholland, OSM Group.
A co-leadership of Johan Ledel and Phil Mulholland was established in May 2012, and has served its purpose very well. “Johan has delivered far beyond our expectations in his role as CEO. We therefore respect his wish to step back from his assignment, while supporting OSM during a transition period. We are happy to see Phil Mulholland taking on a broader assignment as a natural step towards strengthening our focus on the company’s competitive offer and sales strategy” says Christian Salamon, Chairman of the Board, OSM Group.
Phil Mulholland joined the OSM Group in 2007 and has a broad experience of working with sales and marketing in global contexts. Prior to OSM Group he spent 10 years at Nokia in various positions in Sales and Marketing in the Mobile Phone Division.
