According to the Swedish National Food Agency’s recommendation, it’s good for both children and adults to eat fish 2 – 3 times a week, and to choose different types of fish.
Cod with potato, melted butter, broccoli and shrimp/prawns
2 oz/50 g piece of farmed cod (or other white fish).
1 peeled potato
Broccoli – finely chopped
A couple of cooked shrimp/prawns – finely chopped
1 tsp butter
Dice the potato. Add to boiling, unsalted water. Add the cod toward the end of the cooking time. Finally add the broccoli to simmer briefly. Pour everything into a colander or sieve (save a little of the cooking liquid) and place on a plate. The potato can be mashed or chopped depending on the child’s age, but I recommend chopping the broccoli finely with a knife. Since the broccoli has only cooked for a short time, the pieces may be a little hard. Melt the butter in a little of the cooking liquid. Pour over the food. Finally, sprinkle over the finely chopped shrimp/prawns.
