Primozone delivers super-efficient innovative ozone generators for disinfection of drinking water at Oulun Vesi WTP, Finland

Swedish ozone generator supplier Primozone has won the public tender for ozone disinfection at Oulun Vesi Water Treatment Plant in Finland. Primozone will replace the existing ozone solution with its modern and energy-saving ozone generators.

Oulun Vesi WTP, Hintta, is in need of replacing its old ozone generators and has chosen to replace it with a complete ozone system from Primozone, including oxygen generation, dissolution and heat exchanger. At the core of the ozone system are two Primozone® GM12 Ozone Generators that with its reliability, compactness and ease of running and maintenance stands for a true technology leap in the industry.

Primozone has a unique competence in designing and providing complete ozone systems that are very efficient considering oxygen consumption, dissolution and redundancy.

At Hintta the ozone is primarily used for disinfection, but also for removal of taste and odor of drinking water. Hintta supplies half of the city of Oulu (totally 130 000 citizens) with drinking water. The plant is dimensioned to purify about 800m3 of water per hour. The source of the drinking water is surface water from the river Oulu.
