New partnership with multicultural culinary influences!

Anastasia Lundqvist appears in the app 10-minute Baby à la Carte, where she shares flavour experiences from around the world. Her delicious recipes are adapted for the whole family. They are inspired by Kyrgyzstan where she grew up, and by her extensive travels.

Ewa Borin, the founder of 10-minute Baby à la Carte, thinks that Anastasia’s multicultural experiences, which have clearly put their stamp on the recipes in the app, are an exciting contribution.

“It’s wonderful to have the chance to prepare dishes you might never have encountered otherwise, and to try ‘new’ flavours,” said Ewa. Anastasia and I share the same values when it comes to food and the importance of good ingredients. We also love it when the cooking itself becomes a source of enjoyment for both parents and children, since parents have a chance to involve their children in the cooking.”

As a mother of two, Anastasia also feels that it’s important to introduce new flavours and sensory experiences to children, since it helps their development and provides them with yet another dimension for exploring their world.

“I liked Ewa’s idea from the beginning, and I appreciated bandying ideas and concepts for the app back and forth,” Anastasia said. "There is high demand for the app, thanks to Ewa’s commitment and expertise. It is adapted to the needs of modern parents, who need support and advice on how to prepare good, tasty and nutritious meals that don’t take much time."

Anastasia’s dishes are based on other culinary cultures, and even if her recipes have a multicultural touch, she uses readily available ingredients. As usual, there are “baby tips” for each recipe in case a baby is also eating the food.

“For example kichadi (there’s a recipe in the app) is the first real food that children in India taste,” Anastasia explained. "It’s mild and nutritious. It’s important to remember that most children in the world eat food that’s cooked from scratch. Actually it’s a minority that eat industrially manufactured baby food. I think that spending 10 minutes of our time preparing food for our children has major public health benefits.”

Anastasia prefers to work with local ingredients, and with techniques or flavour combinations from other countries.

Anastasia Lundqvist has extensive career experience working on international aid issues in Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. She is also an entrepreneur specialising in multicultural experiences and culinary trips. Thanks to her travels, reflections and encounters with people, she saw that food is an effective way to bring people together and build bridges between different cultures. She wants to use her experience and motivation to help improve integration in Sweden. Her working tools are food, stories and experiences.

Now she’s sharing her culinary experiences and her enthusiasm with 10-minute Baby à la Carte!
