New Mobile Computer for Hazardous Areas with Internal RFID Reader

Barcodes or RFID tags are increasingly being used for secure identification and execution of logistics processes. By using mobile computers, it is possible to increase efficiency and transparency, and to optimize the flow of goods and information flow through decentralized and centralized collection of data, even in explosion risk areas. With the successful MC 9000ex series, BARTEC is offering explosion-protected mobile computers in a variety of versions. In addition to the previous models with an integrated barcode scanner or optional RFID module, as of now the mobile computer MC92N0ex is available with an internal RFID reader, wherein the additional black housing is omitted. As a result the RFID reader is significantly lighter and more economical. The worldwide applicable RFID standards are designed for the frequency ranges of UHF EU, UHF US, HF or LF.

This rugged handheld solution for scan-intensive applications has a much broader processor and memory performance than any similar device of its kind, and is available in the familiar gun and brick formats. Based on the familiar environment of Windows Mobile, this mobile computer with an internal RFID reader is very user-friendly. The convenient real-time data exchange via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth saves time and improves workflow. The worldwide use of these high-performance devices in hazardous areas is ensured by international approvals, such as IECEx, ATEX and UL certificates.
