BLAST Pro Series: Coming to Los Angeles

Los Angeles will be the fourth stop on the 2019 calendar of BLAST Pro Series. Three months after premiering the spectacular tournament in the US, BLAST Pro Series takes world-class esports entertainment to Los Angeles on 12-13 July.

After a successful event in São Paulo, Brazil in front of 7,000 people, BLAST Pro Series is ready to take world class esports entertainment to the US.

BLAST Pro Series will bring the revolutionizing live show, some of the best Counter-Strike teams in the world, the best players and the spectacular stage set-up to the LA’s Galen Center, where the teams will battle it out on the iconic BLAST stage for a 250,000 dollar prize pool.

Jordi Roig, Executive Producer for BLAST Pro Series:

- We are incredibly excited for BLAST Pro Series to make its debut in Miami in April and equally excited to return to the US in July for BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles. BLAST Pro Series takes the best of all live entertainment and traditional sports formats and merges them into a riveting tournament and spectacular live event.

- We’re changing the face of live esports entertainment, and what better place to demonstrate this than the entertainment capital of the world. Our format and show are very different from anything that has been seen before in esports or any other form of competitive live entertainment, and we can’t wait to present the spectacle to the US audience in Miami on 12-13 April and Los Angeles in July, Jordi Roig says.

Galen Center will house the iconic BLAST stage that lets the audience get up close to the world class Counter-Strike players.

The already well established format has proven itself in sold out arenas with 6-12,000 live spectators and millions of viewers globally. Over the weekend BLAST Pro Series Sao Paulo, which was sold out in less than 8 hours, threw a monster of a party and with 7,000 fans in the arena, 7,500 on the waiting list and millions watching online and on TV channels in more than 130 countries and territories.

Jordi Roig, Executive Producer for BLAST Pro Series:

- The atmosphere in Sao Paulo was unlike anything I have seen in my 15 years working with live entertainment. This is what competitive live entertainment can do - if done right. The format and concept is the same in all tournaments, but every show is different. In Sao Paulo, the feel was very carnival and loud like we see the Brazilian fans at all sports events, and in the US the two tournaments will also reflect the cities and local culture.

- There is a big demand for premium esports entertainment in the US and the shows we bring to Miami and Los Angeles will bring the best of live arena entertainment to town. As well as the best teams, players and talent, Roig comments.

BLAST Pro Series focuses a lot on crowd engagement and atmosphere. Different live entertainment pieces make sure that the audience remains entertained throughout the whole day.

The BLAST experience

Both the Watsco Center in Miami and the Galen Center will be transformed into an impressive digital battleground with the iconic A-shaped stage in focus. Gigantic digital screens, a massive choreographed light and sound set-up on par with the biggest rock concerts and an extraordinary live show will be the backdrop to the world’s best teams and players.

It will be a mesmerizing experience for the audience - It’s the future of live esports entertainment!
