Steven Albert Bush, 50, has released his signature collection of lighting featuring concrete as the medium of choice. The items are primitive shapes and are lit with LED lamps and feature colored concrete. Many lamps are rated IP65 for outdoor use and are available in raw, blasted or polished surface treatment.
Steven has been a director of photography / still photographer as well as a fine carpenter and designer for 20+ years. Together with his wife Petra they launched her design line called Gooey Brand almost 5 years ago. During that time he slowly developed his ideas in making a new line of lamps which was inspired by his love of rocks and stones as well as lighting. As a photographer he is well aware of the power of light and shadow and these designs are both practical and aesthetic - creating beautiful reliefs with the shape/form and light. It's a win/win situation as light and rocks come together!

Steven has created the entire range himself and has solved a myriad of problems along the way. Additionally, starting Gooey Brand during the economic crisis taught him about marketing, shows, advertising, etc. All of the skills and experiences over a lifetime have culminated in this release of creativity.
Gallery show opening July 9, 2014, Österlånggatan 12, Gamla Stan, Stockholm, Sweden. Running month of July and last 10 days of August. - then a 2nd "hard opening" when all are back from summer break.
