Chr. Hansen brings breakthrough technology to Vitafoods Europe 2015
The market for natural dietary supplements is booming and Chr. Hansen will present its growing portfolio of products at this year’s Vitafoods Europe, with focus on the ground-breaking technology LIFE GEL®, and the award-nominated product solution Mother’s 1st.
A patent-pending industry first
The LIFE GEL® technology is the world’s first soft gel solution that can sustain live probiotics for two years on the shelf. It combines probiotics and Omega-3 and in the popular soft gel dosage form the platform opens op for countless business opportunities.
To demonstrate how LIFE GEL® can be used to target a specific market segment, Chr. Hansen has developed Mother’s 1st, a solution for pregnant and lactating women. At the end of shelf life, this white-colored soft gel contains 1 billion of the world’s best-documented bifidobacteria, Chr. Hansen’s probiotic strain named
BB-12®, and 250 mg of DHA. Mother’s 1st has been nominated as a finalist in the “Finished product of the year – Immune category”, in this year’s NutraIngredients Awards at Vitafoods.
