​SmartCharge wins another test

An increasing number of electronic systems is putting a growing strain on batteries in all types of vehicles. Boat batteries face especially challenging conditions, as they frequently experience both high and low temperatures and may remain unused for long periods of time. Regular use of a maintenance charger is necessary to maintain battery performance over time.

In a large test of boat chargers performed by the Norwegian publication Båtmagasinet,  DEFA SmartCharge 8A was judged the overall winner, receiving top grades for a well-controlled charging curve and excellent user friendliness.

- The jury emphasized user-friendliness and a controlled, automatic charging curve, without peak pulses or overvoltage values. This is in line with our goals when developing charging products. The test confirms that our products have quality and level accessibility that we strive for, says Martin Jonsson – EVP in DEFA Auto & Industry and Managing Director for DEFA AB.
