Best start-up ideas in the field of Future Cloud announced

Eight start-ups have been shortlisted out of 65 applicants in the category Future Cloud. The finalists will pitch their ideas on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 October in Rennes, France at the Inria Convention Centre, in front of an expert jury consisting of industry experts, investors, entrepreneurs and business accelerators.

The final is embedded into the Future Cloud Symposium, an international symposium organised by EIT Digital on the future of cloud computing. It examines how the latest advances in cloud technology and research can be turned into sustainable businesses. The focus is on big data and data analytics. For these two days, Rennes will be the place to be for the cloud computing community providing a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs, industry representatives, decision makers, VCs, academics and researchers to get together.

The finalists are:

Carbon Analytics Cloud Footprinting (UK):

Automated, full-scope environmental assessment for small businesses utilising innovative data and cloud infrastructure.

Julie Desk (France):

Julie Desk is an AI based scheduling assistant that schedules meetings and appointments by email like a real assistant.

ReSnap (Netherlands):

A unique image selection technology: A user can upload all pictures from any datasource or cloud storage and their best moments are selected within 1 minute.

TANKER (France):

Tanker edits a strong endpoint cyber-security solution to secure small businesses' data and communications.

Linkurious (France):

Linkurious helps organizations use their data to uncover relationships among people, places, things, and entities.

WeTransform (Germany):

WeTransform is a platform where professionals develop and share data transformation processes.

Media Distillery (Netherlands):

Media Distillery lets you search in all that was said or shown in audio and video, both on- and off-line.

re2you (Germany):

re2you is a cloud-based ecosystem of all your devices, allowing you to drag & drop content across devices and apps without up/downloads.
