EIT Digital showcases tech innovations at New Mobility World, IAA 2015

From September 17th to 27th, EIT Digital will be showcasing a range of its most successful start-ups and innovation activities at the world’s leading International Motor Show (IAA) being held in Frankfurt am Main. EIT Digital is an official partner of the first New Mobility World (NMW) exhibition at the event, launched to reflect the growing impact of digital innovation on the automotive industry.

EIT Digital, set up to foster digital innovation and bring new solutions to market, is exhibiting in the Mobility Services section of NMW. The Mobility Services theme looks at how mobile internet and smart phones are shaping the future of travel management, car-sharing, location-based services and efficient traffic flow control in smart cities.

Fourteen of EIT Digital’s successful innovation activities and coached start-ups are attending NMW to showcase their solutions to businesses and potential buyers. While most will be found at the EIT Digital stand, the following innovators will be exhibiting close by in the NMW hall:

  • Carzapp offers complete smart access solutions for car sharing, logistics and smart home applications (Mobility Solutions Centre)
  • Ebee Smart Technologies offers a low-cost and easily available solution for charging electric cars in public places while embedding them into local smart grids in (Start-up-Zone on September 22nd)
  • ICE Gateway’s wireless infrastructure (IaaS: Infrastructure as a Service), optimises outdoor lighting and adds value-added services for people passing by street lights and also for sensors and devices (IoT: Internet of Things) in smart cities (Mobility Solutions Centre)
  • PlugSurfing is an application and billing system that empowers electric car drivers to find and use charging points wherever they are and whenever they want(Electric Vehicle Plaza)
  • Unu Motors is committed to creating a mobility solution that fully and independently connects people to their city by producing e-scooters that are customisable and powered by a portable battery system that can be charged “on the go” anywhere (Electric Vehicle Plaza).
