Stora Enso transfers the energy trade of its control room to Empower

Empower IM has signed an agreement on the transfer of Stora Enso's Imatra-based energy control room's trade operations to Empower starting at the beginning of March. The new agreement expands the existing customer relationship, since the monitoring of Stora Enso's regional network around Finland has already been the duty of Empower's control room.

In addition to daily Elspot trade in Nord Pool electricity exchange, the new agreement covers round-the-clock services, such as operations on electricity and natural gas markets as well as duties of a balance responsible party.

Stora Enso is a strategically important partner for Empower Group in its entirety, the Industry Division of which provides maintenance services, for example, to Stora Enso's Anjalankoski and Sunila mills.
