Fjällräven Sarek Jacket

Sarek Trekking Jacket is a trekking jacket designed for long mountain treks in Scandinavian conditions. It is made from Fjällräven’s durable and functional outdoor fabric G-1000 Original with robust, tried-and-tested details that simplify life in the wilderness. Sarek Trekking Jacket is a member of Fjällräven’s new product family Sarek.

It is the much-talked-about wilderness of the north, Sweden’s second biggest national park, that has given its name to products in the Sarek series. Durability and functionality have been paramount in the development of Sarek products and the garments are designed for traditional mountain trekking – longer trips with a high degree of “self-sufficiency” in trailless terrain.

Sarek Trekking Jacket is available in both men’s and women’s models and has a longer cut, bellow pleat in the back for extra freedom of movement and extra width that provides room for insulating layers underneath. It has a protective storm hood that can be adjusted to fit around the head perfectly, and the brim can be folded in two positions for either more protection from the wind or better peripheral vision. The front two-way zipper can be opened from the bottom for ventilation, and a wide protective flap with buttons stops draughts and can keep the jacket closed if the zipper for some reason should be damaged.

There are two vertical chest pockets with zippers and two top-loading pockets lower down for a compass, snacks or other items that are good to keep close at hand. The men’s jacket also has smaller chest pockets on top of the vertical pockets.

Sarek Trekking Jacket is made from Fjällräven’s outdoor fabric G-1000.
