Övik Series - New clothing for everyday adventures from Fjällräven

Just in time for all of summer’s travels and excursions, Fjällräven has extended its Övik collection with a number of new durable and comfortable garments for casual outdoor life. One idea behind the collection is to erase the boundaries between the city and the forest with garments that are just as suitable for work as for everyday adventures after office hours.

With the Övik clothing series, Fjällräven has developed a number of robust everyday garments for both casual working life and fun in the outdoors. The collection is named after Fjällräven’s hometown, Örnsköldsvik, which is part of the World Heritage Area The High Coast. This hometown has inspired the creation of simple and timeless garments, many of them made from Fjällräven’s very own durable, functional fabric G-1000.

Övik Trousers are a pair of hardwearing everyday trousers made from G-1000 Silent with a soft, brushed finish. They are available in women’s and men’s models and have a map pocket on the right-hand leg, a multitool pocket, hand pockets and back pockets. The leg endings are raw length so they can easily be adjusted to various heights.

Övik Shirt Short Sleeve is a short-sleeved, chequered shirt for men in light, cool cotton twill. A classic model that has two chest pockets with hidden buttons, and a button-down collar also with hidden buttons.

The women’s model Övik Shirt Short Sleeve W has a collar and pockets with hidden buttons and is made from organic cotton poplin. Both are comfortable and cool and perfect for both everyday and outdoor life.

Övik Short Jacket is a hardwearing, hip-length jacket for men, made from wind and water-resistant G-1000 HeavyDuty which is extremely hardwearing. The model has a two-way zipper with an inside protective flap, two large top-loading pockets with open side pockets on top, plus an open chest pocket on the inside. There are ventilation holes under the arms and button adjustments at the sleeve cuffs.

The series also includes comfortable hoodies in an organic cotton blend, a couple of classic caps and t-shirts in organic cotton. You can check out the entire Övik collection at www.fjallraven.com.

Övik garments will be available in stores from spring 2014.
