RÄVEN JACKET - New premier for Fjällräven’s timeless outdoor jacket

Faithful long-term Fjällräven users might recognise one of summer 2015’s newcomers when timeless Räven Jacket is relaunched. The new edition is made from G-1000 Eco in recycled polyester and organic cotton. The jacket’s durability and versatility are just as useful today as they were when it first came in the end of the 1970s.

The Räven Jacket is available in stores from spring 2015.

Räven Jacket has been developed in the same spirit as Greenland Jacket and was a common item in outdoor wardrobes in the early 1980s. As a tribute to their origins, Fjällräven is now relaunching Räven Jacket as part of their Övik product family.

The new release is made from G-1000 Eco in recycled polyester and organic cotton. It is a durable, weather-resistant jacket with tried-and-tested features, and is just as practical for everyday use as it is for general outdoor life. It has a fixed hood, in a light polyamide and cotton blend, which can be rolled up and tucked into the collar when not in use. The chest pockets have room for items needed close to hand, and there are large top-loaded pockets with bellows lower down with extra openings at the sides. Bellows pleats at the shoulders and pleats at the elbows give excellent freedom of movement, while drawcords at the waist and lower hem give a good fit.

With Greenland Wax the jacket can be easily adapted according to weather and chosen activity. More wax enhances the jacket’s wind and water resistant properties as well as its durability and lifespan. With less wax the jacket is cool and has maximum ventilation.
