We meet many new potential customers every week and many of them have several questions about safety, the environment, technology and other related questions they want answered. Therefore, we have compiled some of the most common questions we get when we’re out new customers.

Do you have good enough access to broadband up north?
Both our data centers are connected to Sweden’s dark-fiber, we have several ISPs and top class communication capabilities.

How secure is the power supply?
It is very safe, we also have a twin data center which means that we take power from different sources that minimize the risk of blackouts in two places simultaneously. If an accident still happens, we have backup power at both plants that lasts for several days.

How do you work with your climate impact?
We are working actively to reduce our carbon footprint. Fortlax data center has since 2004 been using electricity from hydro and wind power. We also take part in the government’s call “Fossil-free Sweden,” which aims to make Sweden the first fossil-free country in the world.

How secure are your plants?
We have safety of the highest caliber. Fortlax Datacenter has Protection Class 3 and Alarm Class 3, the highest level in each class. Our plants have more scalable protection that protects against physical intrusion in several steps.
