University of Gävle expands its unique collaboration with Svensk Fastighetsförmedling

To secure future recruiting, Svensk Fastighetsförmedling has signed a contract for commissioned education with University of Gävle. This collaboration is now expanded.

The perfect partner

University of Gävle and Svensk Fastighetsförmedling have collaborated for many years. In 2015 the bond between them was further strengthened as a contract regarding the commissioned education project “Svensk Fastighetsförmedlings Mäklarskola 120 credits” was signed. Up till now, 90 students have started this programme in three different rounds.

The collaboration has been so successful that Svensk Fastighetsförmedling has decided to extend the contract with an additional two more years and four more rounds of commissioned education. They will also finance a doctoral student at University of Gävle.

-We are convinced that University of Gävle is the perfect partner for us, says Tanja Ilic, CEO.

Our Ambition is to be Number One

The new PhD position is meant to contribute to developing our Estate Agency programme, the line of business and the profession as a whole. The research will focus on terms of employment and working conditions within Real Estate Brokering and how those affect performance, customer satisfaction, employee turnover and net income in a long-term perspective.

-Our ambition is to be number one in Sweden when it comes to Estate Agency programmes. By strengthening our research, we want to consolidate our position as the first choice of Estate Agency programmes for both students and recruiting companies, says Tommy Gerdemark, Head of Department of Business and Economic Studies, University of Gävle.

-This project has a direct bearing on our aim to develop the understanding of a sustainable living environment, which is always in focus in our research projects. It is also a good example of our collaboration efforts and it contributes to strengthening the exchange between academia and the business sector, says Maj-Britt Johansson, Vice-Chancellor at University of Gävle.
