​Innometrics’ Profile Cloud helps Travelstart increase Marketing Agility

August 3rd 2015, Stockholm and London Innometrics, the customer data specialist, announces thatTravelstart, Africa’s leading Online Travel Agency, is using Profile Cloud to gain a deeper understanding of multichannel customer journeys across different countries.

Founded in Scandinavia in 1999, Travelstart serves more than 15 countries across the Middle East and Africa providing customers with an easy way to book all their travel arrangements online. With the desire to personalise web content to every customer or visitor, Travelstart approached Innometrics to combine static and behavioural data collected across their different partner-countries. The objective was primarily to enhance customer communication, experience and insight.

Initially joining the dots between its existing CRM data and web behavioural data from Google Analytics, Profile Cloud then combined Profile data with session data and personalisation rules, to trigger notifications and messages specific to each website visitor. This enabled Travelstart to offer its customers customised assistance, availability warnings and even payment security reassurance, using a pop-up solution to respond to its users’ and prospects’ demands in real-time. Travelstart is now in the final stages of its e-mail pilot, which has been used to run abandoned cart e-mails via Mandrill for customers who have left the purchase journey after searching for flights.

The campaign has seen a 1,700% increase in CRM traffic with a 90% increase in conversions. Following a successful initial phase, Travelstart is now moving to the next step, incorporating booking data across all countries from its ordering database, enabling personalisation based on previous transactions. Travelstartis also considering further training to integrate Profile Cloud deeper into its overall CRM strategy, incorporating further data sources to better understand its customers.
