Trend Report 2011: Strength of business and academia at all-time high in Kista Science City

Kista Science City is continuing to show strong growth as an attractive region for entrepreneurs and students. The number of students studying IT courses at the Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University has risen by a full 33 percent. At the same time, the number of people employed by businesses in the region has risen by 4,000 to more than 70,000, with 25,000 working in ICT.

The Swedish company Scint-X AB will use the funds to grow its business on the international arena and to build up high-volume manufacturing capacity.

Stockholm Summit on Service Innovation in Cities takes place on 12 May at Kistamässan (Kista Fairs).
