Press Release
Applications now open! Stockholm Cleantech Venture Day 2010.
May 19, 2010 14:30 CEST
Now we are on the outlook for 25 innovative cleantech companies to Stockholm Cleantech Venture Day 2010.
For the first time since the events started in 2007, European cleantech entrepreneurs are now invited to apply for one of 25 positions at the Stockholm Cleantech Venture Day 2010. Previous events have focused on mainly the Swedish and Scandinavian cleantech markets, but this year the invitation is extended to cover all of Europe.
The companies should have reached a "middle expansion phase" where funding and new investments are sought for further growth. The applicants will be screened in a selection process by a well renowned committee and then invited to present their investment cases to leading international decision makers and investors during the event.
- The market demand is high and continues to increase when it comes to cleantech innovation, says Hans Otterling at Northzone Ventures. In the coming years the cleantech industry will grow, and that it is why it is important to invest now - Stockholm Cleantech Venture Day is a great opportunity for investors to scout already screened and approved companies.”
- Cleantech innovation is a rapidly developing sector, and the focus on new technical solutions that help to maintain and sustain a resilient global environment is already large scale. At KTH we aim to collaborate, not only for innovation, but also for commercialization of the new solutions. SCVD 2010 is a good channel to do this, says Ramon Wyss, Vice-President for International Projects at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and co-ordinator KIC InnoEnergy Sweden
The event is organised by KIC InnoEnergy, Stockholm Innovation & Growth AB (STING) and Kista Science City AB. SCVD 2010 provides an up-to-date arena where global influential representatives will share ideas, network and do business. The focus of the event is the match making between international cleantech entrepreneurs, investors and decision makers.
