Connected press tools from LK
LK is launching a new range of press tools with a practical info display and Bluetooth connection. This provides a number of smart features to make life easier for users. These innovations will be presented at the construction fair Nordbygg.
The new range comprises the models Minipress Connect, ACKE Connect and Max Connect. The tools are intended for use by HVAC installers to press couplings in plastic and metal pipe systems, for example tap water and heating pipes.
The new info display allows users to view data such as battery status, pressure, working time, total number of compressions and service intervals. LK has its own authorised service workshop in Gävle for the servicing, calibration and repair of the company’s press tools.
These press tools can be connected to the i-press app via Bluetooth, where it is possible to set whether pressing is to begin with a single or double click. Information is also displayed on the machine’s serial number, latest pressure, total number of faulty presses and how long until the next service. There is also software available for monitoring, archiving and printing out press data. In this way, the installer can easily produce easy-to-understand project documentation, with measurements for the pressure of each compression.
Another innovation is that the centre of gravity of the Minipress Connect model has been moved to improve ergonomics.
